Silvermine Bay Music Festival 2013
Organised since 2006 by a group of Mui Wo music lovers with the aim of sharing their passion and drawing more people to LantauIsland, the Silvermine Bay Music Festival (SMF) is an annual rock music festival that provides platform for local artists to perform under beautiful sunshine surrounded by sand and epic sounds. The event was successfully held on 11-13 October 2013 on the Silvermine Bay Beach of Mui Wo in Lantau Island of Hong Kong. Conceptcoms (CC), the event-arm of Milton, managed SMF 2013 and successfully attracted an all-time high visitor’s number this year to 25,000, which is doubled of last year’s number, during the 3-day event.
SMF organizers including Hong Kong Outlying Islands Women’s Association, Islands Youth Association and Mui Wo Rural Committee turned to CC this year when they shared their determination in making SMF 2013 to become one of Hong Kong’s annual mega events. While the event receives full support from 30 local bands and artists, technical consideration was the major concern of the team as the event was held outdoor on a beach. Besides, security and logistic have to be carefully planned to ensure the 3-day concert can be held successfully yet safely. As the event manager, Conceptcoms’ scope of works cover from creative concept, design to production of its press conference, stage set up, directional signage, venue decoration as well as the event program rundown for the opening of SMF 2013, officiated by the guest of honour the Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development Mr. Gregory So.
With good relationship with media, the event was covered by the local television and broadcasted during the news report, attracting more audiences to the event. With passion and commitment in event management, Conceptcoms look forward working with the organizer again for a even bigger and more fun SMF next year.
