Doraemon Christmas Tree Voted The Straits Times Readers’ Favourite
Singapore - A refreshing change to the usual Christmas balls, stars and festive ornaments on the yearly Christmas tree décor, Doraemon stole the limelight this year with a tree of its own at One Raffles Place shopping mall.
Voted The Straits Times readers’ favourite among 11 other Christmas trees in an online poll, the approximate 5.6 metres tall Doraemon Christmas tree made up of close to 500 blue robot cats had attracted much attention especially from the working community around the Raffles Place area since it was unveiled on 20 November, sharing the festive joy as words spread and attracted many fans and shoppers who went for a glimpse of the popular character.
The Doraemon Christmas tree also generated good online buzz with mentions from lifestyle media such as Her World, and on social media with the mall’s festive promotions surrounding the character.
Milton Singapore worked closely with marketing agency CROONER and the client in the one month it took for the crafting of the Christmas tree from the design, installation to the final presentation.
