Chinese New Year Parade in Macau
Macau – Every year, the Chinese New Year Parade is one of the biggest festivities in Macau. This year, to kick-start the Year of the Monkey, the parade features 14 fabulous floats parade alongside with top celebrities and over 1,000 performers.
The theme of this year’s parade revolve around the Monkey King story, with 14 magnificent floats illuminated as different characters and style of this classic Chinese novel.
On 10 February 2016, the main parade started from the Macau Science Center and ended at the Macau Tower with spectators crowd all along the Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Ave to enjoy the show, while the floats parade again on 13 February 2016 at the Northern area of Macau.
Both the Hong Kong and Macau teams of ConceptComs, the event-arm of Milton Exhibits Group, were entrusted for the design and production of almost 2/3 of the floats this year. The team was challenged by the extremely short production time and the coldest weather condition in Macau in years. However, the team overcame the obstacles by their strong project management experience and efficiencies, the show completed successfully with all floats well complimented by the clients.
