Canon PhotoMarathon HK
Hong Kong - Buyer’s behaviour has changed. Studies revealed over 90% of consumers would conduct online research before they make purchases. And once they decided on a specific brand, they are likely to stick to it and become loyal fans and continue to spread by word of mouth if the product gives them an unforgettable experience.
Canon understands fully the importance of experiential marketing and has therefore launched Canon PhotoMarathon (CPM) since 2009. CPM is a whole day event cultivating passion for photography for all types of camera users. Participants are asked to take photographs based on themes announced on the day of the event. The event has become a signature event of Canon and now spans across 12 other parts in Asia-Pacific. Conceptcoms - the event arm of Milton Exhibits Group was appointed as the event manager to develop and event managed CPM HK 2015.
The publicity for the event began with an official press conference held at Stone Nullah Street’s Hong Kong House of Stories where the place itself is perfect for snapping great photos.
To create awareness of this annual event for photography enthusiast, a group of dancers named as “CPM Flash Photo Mob” created surprise and delight to the general public with flash mob street dance over one of the busiest and hottest weekends in August. Young and energetic dancers easily caught the attention of passerby through their energies and exciting dance moves.
CPM HK 2015 invited a record quota of 2,600 contestants to take part, which has marked a new record for the event. This is an evident proof on the growing popularity of the event.
